The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) have reduced trading hours by half an hour, keeping the opening time unchanged.
Trading will now run from 10:00am to 2:00pm, effective Sunday (April 5).
Under the regular schedule, trading typically begins at 10:00am and continues until 2:30pm.
The DSE has also shortened its office hours by one hour, which will now run from 9:00am to 4:00pm instead of the usual closing time of 5:00pm.
Both bourses said the decision was taken in line with the government’s strategy to manage the ongoing energy crisis, triggered by the American-Israeli aggression against Iran.
