The Dhaka Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DWCCI), in collaboration with Geres and South Asian Women's Development Forum (SAWDF), has officially launched the 'FAME Project - Feminism, Action, and Mobilization for an Inclusive Economy' at an event held in Dhaka recently, says a statement.
Led by Naaz Farhana, President of DWCCI and Vice President of SAWDF- Bangladesh Chapter, DWCCI serves as the implementing partner of the project in Bangladesh. Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest. Both leaders highlighted the importance of inclusive economic development and regional solidarity in advancing women's empowerment.
Over the next four years, the FAME Project will directly support over 2,000 women and reach more than 8,200 beneficiaries across Bangladesh, empowering local civil society organisations and promoting sustainable, community-driven economic participation.
