Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman of the Board presided over the meeting, said a statement.
The Board among, other issues accorded approval for settlement of 23 cases of claims amounting to Tk. 33,46,824 which included motor, fire, marine & miscellaneous.
The Company settled 74 claims amounting to Tk. 92,68,770 during the year 2018.
It may be mentioned that Eastland settled a total of 389 claims amounting to Tk. 23,47,57,924 in the year 2017 and cumulatively Tk. 257,15,51,461 since its inception, the statement added.
