EBAC chair off to HK

ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC) Chairman and ICC Bangladesh President Mr. Mahbubur Rahman left Dhaka for Cyberport, Hong Kong Sunday to attend 5th EBAC Meeting & Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) 2018 which begins today (Monday).

The forum ends on April 11, said a statement.

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman will deliver welcome address at the Opening Ceremony of Asia Pacific Business Forum 2018 on April 10.

The Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2018 aims to strengthen business engagement in achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. Specifically, the Forum will discuss how private sector-led innovation, technology and financing can enhance efforts towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and associated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The delegation members also include ICCB Vice President Mrs. Rokia A. Rahman, ICCB Executive Board Members Mr. Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury, Mr. Kutubuddin Ahmed & Mr. Md. Fazlul Hoque, DCCI President Mr. Abul Kasem Khan, ICCB Members Mr. Mohd. Arshad Ali, Mr. Asif Ibrahim & Mr. Mohammad Shahjahan Khan and ICCB Secretary General Mr. Ataur Rahman.

Mr. Mahbubur Rahman will also deliver opening remarks at the 5th EBAC meeting as its Chairman. Mrs. Rokia A. Rahman and Mr. Asif Ibrahim will also be attending EBAC meeting as its Member & Mr. Asif Ibrahim will moderate a plenary session on EBAC Task Force on Disaster and Climate Risk Reduction.

They are expected to return to Dhaka on April 13.
