EBL launches co-branded Visa card with Fortis

Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), one of the leading private sector banks in Bangladesh and AFC Health Ltd, representing Fortis Healthcare, the fastest growing hospital network in Bangladesh and India, announced launch of EBL- AFC Health Fortis Visa Prepaid card, said a statement.

The co-branded prepaid card will offer customers an enriched experience and help them save more on their in-patient bill while being able to pay securely and conveniently with the EMV chip secured card, both at home and abroad.

The cardholder to receive 10 per cent cash back while paying their in-hospital bill using the EBL AFC Health Fortis Prepaid card at all Fortis network hospitals in Bangladesh and India.

The card can be purchased from selected EBL branches countrywide. Visitors travelling to India can load foreign currency from their travel quota (up to USD 5,000) in the prepaid card and can use at any Visa ATM, POS and merchant locations.

The card can also be loaded in Bangladesh Taka and using at Fortis Hospitals in Bangladesh will allow the cardholder the same cash back facility. To avail the cash back benefit outside of Bangladesh, a cardholder must register with AFC Health Fortis office in Dhaka.

Fortis offers specialised medical and cardiac services through a network of 30 hospitals in India and three in Bangladesh. The AFC Health Fortis Hospitals in Bangladesh are located at Chittagong, Khulna and Comilla. AFC Health Fortis is the first international chain hospital in Bangladesh.
