EBL LAUNCHES VISA PAYMENT PASSKEY

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), in partnership with Visa, has launched Visa Payment Passkey (VPP) in Bangladesh at a ceremony held at the EBL Head Office in Dhaka. VPP is a faster and more secure device-based authentication solution that replaces traditional OTP-based verification for online payments. The ceremony was attended by Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager, and Tawfique Imam, Head of Products - Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, VISA; and M. Khorshed Anowar, DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking; Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, Head of Digital Financial Services; Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards; and Faisal M. Fathe-Ul Islam, Head of Digital Payments, EBL.
