Govt to procure one cargo of LNG from spot market

The government approved a proposal on Tuesday in principle for procuring one cargo of LNG from the spot market under the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) in a bid to meet the urgent need, report BSS.

The approval came from the 8th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs in this year held at the Cabinet Division conference room at Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.

Energy and Mineral Resources Division placed the proposal in the meeting.
