HERizon Fest 2025 concludes

M Siraz Uddin Miah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser, was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of a two-day HERizon Fest 2025: Celebrating Women, Skills & Employment, organised by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) with technical assistance of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in the city on Wednesday.

M Siraz Uddin Miah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser, was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony while Mamtaz Ahmed, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Dr Md Sanwar Jahan Bhuiyan, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, were the special guests.

Dr Andreas Kuck, Country Director, GIZ Bangladesh, was also present as the guest of honour. The closing ceremony was presided over by NSDA Executive Chairman Dr Nazneen Kawshar Chowdhury.

The chief guest highlighted that NSDA plays a crucial role by coordinating all skills development initiatives and linking them with employment opportunities. He stressed that the success of these efforts depends on the collaboration of all stakeholders-including government and private institutions, development partners, businesses, and training centers. In this context, he called upon the Industrial Skills Council to take proactive measures to ensure skilled workforce development and sustainable employment.
