The IBA Alumni Club held its first-ever election to the Board of Directors through balloting on the club premises following its AGM recently. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB), was elected as the club's Chairman, says a statement.
Also, ten new members were elected to the Board of Directors. They are Imtiaz Ahmad Shams, Malik M. Sayeed, ATM ShamimUz Zaman, Md. Rahat Khan, Abu Issa Mohammad Mainuddin, Nafis Raihan, A.S.M. Rafiq Ullah, Professor Ireen Akhter, Md. Amanur Rahman, and Mohammad Shakil Wahed.
The election witnessed enthusiastic participation from its members, with an impressive 88 per cent voter turnout.
Following the election, Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, Chairman of Agrani Bank's Board of Directors, congratulated the newly elected board members and urged them to work together for the club's continued progress.
Earlier in the morning, the club held its Annual General Meeting, with Chairman-in-charge M Musleh Uz Zaman in the chair.
