The ICMAB held its 53rd AGM at Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, in Dhaka on Friday. The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) held its 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, in Dhaka on Friday.
The event brought together members, past presidents, and council members to review the Institute's achievements and set the stage for future endeavors, says a statement.
ICMAB President Mahtab Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting while Executive Director Md Mahbub-Ul-Alam delivered the welcome address.
Vice President Md Kausar Alam presented updates on the Institute's examination activities and progress, while fellow Vice President Md Akhtaruzzaman outlined advancements in the Institute's educational programmes.
At the meeting, S. M. Zahir Uddin Haider, Secretary, highlighted the functions and achievement of the year, while Abdul Matin Patwary, Treasurer, presented the audited accounts and financial reports of the Institute for the same period.
The meeting also provided a platform for members to engage in discussions on the annual report and various professional matters. Around 1,000 Fellow and Associate Members actively participated in the question-and-answer session.
In conjunction with the AGM, the Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) election for the 2025 term was also held. A total of 1,172 members cast their votes to elect 10 council members.
