ICSB gets new president

M Naseemul Hye has been elected President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) in its 109th Council Meeting held on Monday for the remaining period of the 2022-2025 term of the Council.
Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President of the Institute for the term 2013-2016. Before that, he was the Vice President of the Institute for the term 2010-2013.
Mr Hye has been serving as Deputy Managing Director (Chief Compliance Officer) of Meghna Cement Mills PLC. Before this, he was the Senior Executive Director & Company Secretary of Basundhara Group.
He did his graduation and post-graduation in accounting from the University of Dhaka in 1981 and 1982 respectively.
The Council of the Institute, at the same meeting, also elected Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan as the Senior Vice President for the remaining period of the 2022-2025 term of the Council.
He is working as the Deputy General Manager and Chief Regulatory Officer (Acting) of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC.
Earlier, he worked in various responsible high positions of Dhaka Stock Exchange since 2006.
He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dhaka in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
Currently, A K M Mushfiqur Rahman is serving as Vice President and Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun is serving as the Treasurer of the Institute.
