"IDLC Finance Olympiad 2.0" ends

The final Gala Round of the second season of the largest online finance quiz competition - "IDLC Finance Olympiad 2.0" was held on Friday at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh Complex, Farmgate in the city.
Over 40,000 participants registered and participated in the online finance Olympiad from 15th September 2019 to 6th October 2019 at the end of which top 100 contestants
were shortlisted for the offline final round. Later, on the same day, 16 contestants competed for the champion's title in two groups in front of more than 1000 audience, said a statement.
IDLC Finance Limited organized this competition, in which 14 to 24 year-old students participated from all over Bangladesh. Popular online school Robi-10 Minute School served as a knowledge partner of this initiative.
The winners received a trip to Bali with a friend, laptop, smartphone, trophy, medals and certificates from Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) who also graced the occasion as chief guest and Arif Khan, CEO and Managing Director, IDLC Finance Limited.
Just like last year, this year's Olympiad started with online round where the participants had to give 10 quizzes after watching 10 different educational video related to personal financing. Top 100 scorer among them were invited to the gala event. Among which 50 were from junior section & 50 were from senior section. During the gala event, the top 100 went through a written exam & a buzzer round which led to the selection of the top 6 winners.
IDLC CEO & Managing Director Arif Khan said, ''Being part of the financial sector for over 34 years, we believe IDLC has a responsibility to impart knowledge and help enhance skills of the youth on financial literacy all across the nation. We were overwhelmed with the response from the first season and hence initiated the second season of this campaign"
