INTERNATIONAL NOISE AWARENESS DAY OBSERVED

The Department of Environment observed the International Noise Awareness Day 2026 across the country with various programmes on Wednesday, organised as part of its 'Integrated and participatory project to control noise pollution'. A discussion was held at the Department of Environment auditorium in Dhaka to mark the day. State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shaikh Faridul Islam attended the event as the chief guest. Under the noise pollution control project, discussion and rallies were organised in all 64 districts across the country by the Department of Environment, with support from divisional commissioners' offices and district administrations. At the same time, mobile courts were conducted across the country.
