A four-day trade exhibition on textiles and allied sectors will begin on September 10, aiming to give an impetus to the country's economy.
More than 1,450 companies representing 37 countries, including India, China, Korea, Malaysia, and Germany, will participate in the expo to be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Centre (BCFEC) in Purbachal, Dhaka.
Organisers expressed the hope that the event would create a matchmaking platform for local and global businesses.
The expo will comprise three separate major events under one roof -- the '24th Textech Bangladesh 2025 International Expo' on textile and apparel technology and machinery, the '24th Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show 2025' on yarn, fabric, trims, and accessories, and the '48th DyeChem Bangladesh 2025 International Expo' on dyestuffs and fine & specialty chemicals.
Officials of the trade show organiser, CEMS-Global, made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday.
Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global - USA & Asia-Pacific, presided over the press conference. S.S. Sarwar, Group CEO of CEMS-Global USA, Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Executive Director of CEMS-Global, and Abhishek Das, Director of CEMS-Global, were also present.
Briefing reporters, Meherun N. Islam said the 2025 edition promises to carry the legacy of the previous successful events forward with new, curated zones aimed at addressing the industry's most pressing needs.
"Through the Textech Expo, factories across Bangladesh will have access to cutting-edge machinery, automation tools, and digital production solutions," she said.
Thousands of local manufacturers have modernised their operations thanks to the global technology suppliers who exhibit at this show annually, she added.
Across all three shows, a structured buyer-supplier matchmaking programme will ensure that every participant has the opportunity to engage in meaningful, results-driven business discussions, she said.
According to the organisers, the exhibitions will remain open to business visitors upon registration every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Four seminars on different topics will take place on the sidelines.
