Jamuna Oil approves 110pc div

Jamuna Oil Company has approved 110 per cent cash dividend i.e @ Tk.11.00 per share out of profit for the Financial Year 2016-2017, said a statement.

The approval was given at the 42nd annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held recently at "Chittagong Boat Club", Airport Road, East Patenga, Chittagong. Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem, Secretary, Chairman, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and Chairman-JOCL Board presided over the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the company earned over Tk 2.24 billion post tax profit. The meeting was also informed that the company deposited in the national exchequer Tk 765 million as VAT, income tax & other statutory charges in the financial year 2016-2017.

The board of directors and the shareholders of the company expressed their satisfaction on the present activities & financial result of the company.

Directors of the Board Md. Abdur Razzaque, Member, National Board of Revenue, Dhaka, Mir Ali Reza, Director (Marketing), Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, Shankar Prasad Dev, Independent Director, Md. Abu Yousuf Miah, Deputy Chief (Planning), Energy & Mineral Resources Division, Md. A. Khaleque Mullick, Deputy Secretary(Budget) Energy & Mineral Resources Division, Mozammel Haque Bhuiyan, Shareholder Director, Saifuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Director, and Md. Quamrul Hasan, Director & Managing Director, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, attended the Meeting and participated in discussion. Company Secretary Md. Nazmul Hoque conducted the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by BPC's representative shareholders Quazi Mohammad Hasan, Secretary, Md. Giasuddin Anchari, Senior General Manager(Com & Ops.), Md. Abu Hanif, Senior General Manager (Dist & Marketing), Md. Yousuf Hussain Bhuiyan, General Manager (Audit), ATM Selim, General Manager (Accounts), Moni Lal Das, General Manager (Finance), Ferdousi Masum Himel, Dy. General Manager (Admin) and a good number of shareholders.
