Professor Dr Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro-vice chancellor (Academic) of Jahangirnagar University, inaugurated a programme to promote online income tax return filing on the university campus on Monday. Jahangirnagar University (JU), in partnership with Tax Zone-11 of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), hosted a day-long programme to promote online income tax return filing on Monday.
The Income Tax Information Service Center arranged the campaign at the university's Zahir Raihan auditorium, open from 9 am to 4 pm, allowing teachers, officials, and employees to submit their income tax returns.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro-vice chancellor (Academic) of the university, inaugurated the programme in morning.
He expressed his gratitude to the NBR authorities for arranging such a campaign.
Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rab, treasurer, and Dr. ABM Azizur Rahman, acting registrar of the university, and tax commissioner Sharmin Ferdousi were present at the event.
