Khairul Islam
Dr. Md. Khairul Islam has been appointed as the Regional Director of South Asia for WaterAid - an international non-profit working for over 30 years across 28 countries around the world, offering people and communities with solutions to clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, said a statement.
Prior to his new position, Dr Islam served as the Country Director of WaterAid Bangladesh for more than 11 years. He has over four decades of diverse experiences from development organisations and government agencies nationally and internationally.
Effective from October 1, 2019, he will assume the responsibility of Regional Director and will be based in the Bangladesh Country Office. As part of South Asia lead, he will be responsible for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal and India operations.
