Mercantile Bank elects VC, EC Chairman

Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) and Mohd. Selim have been elected as Vice Chairmen and Shahidul Ahsan as Chairman of Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank Limited in its 345th board meeting held at Bank's head office recently.

Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) is Chairman & Managing Director of FARS Group. He owns real estate companies. Besides businesses, he is well recognized for his benevolent contribution to the society through different social welfare activities, education, health & social development movements.

Mohd. Selim is the Chairman of Synthia Securities Limited. He is involved with cloth & fabric businesses. Besides he is well recognized for his benevolent contribution to the society through different CSR activities.

Shahidul Ahsan is Chairman of ipay Systems Ltd., Ahsan Group and priyo.com. He is the Managing Director of 'DBC', a private TV channel and Director of Daily Observer. He is also the Director of National Credit Ratings Ltd and Swadesh Life Insurance Company Ltd. Besides, Mr Shahidul Ahsan is engaged with different types of businesses and social activities.
