Mercantile Bank Limited organised a discussion and doa mahfil to mark the National Mourning Day and 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bank's head office in the city on Thursday. Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury (4th from left), Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, was present in the programme as the chief guest Mercantile Bank Limited organized a discussion and doa mahfil to mark the National Mourning Day and 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bank's head office in the city on Thursday, said a statement.
Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, was present in the programme as chief guest. The Managing Director in his speech highlighted the life and sacrifices of Bangabandhu towards building the nation.
Md. Zakir Hossain, Deputy Managing Director, Head of the Divisions of head office, Branch Managers, Senior Executives, officers & employees of Mercantile Bank attended the programme.
Later, all employees and officials of the Bank offered special prayers for the eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members, who embraced martyrdom on this day.
