METLIFE INVESTS TK500M IN BD'S FIRST-EVER SOCIAL BOND BY BRAC BANK

MetLife Bangladesh has invested Tk 500 million in the country's first-ever social bond issued by BRAC Bank. The proceeds from this bond will be directed toward sectors, including women-led MSMEs, affordable housing, healthcare, agriculture, climate risk mitigation and resilience projects. MetLife Bangladesh CEO Ala Ahmad said, "This investment reflects our commitment to supporting sustainable development in Bangladesh. By partnering with BRAC Bank on this landmark social bond, we aim to empower communities, promote financial inclusion, and contribute to a resilient future."
