Microenterprise Summit in Dec

The first Microenterprise Summit will be held in Dhaka on December 5, says a statement.

IPDC Finance Limited, EMK Center, ICCO Cooperation, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and Dhaka Tribune have come together to initiate the summit.

The main objective of the summit is to foster, promote and coordinate microenterprises in Bangladesh. As part of the initiative, all parties have signed an MoU on the premises of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Mominul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of IPDC Finance Limited; Shakeb Nabi, Country Representative of ICCO Cooperation; Asif Uddin Ahmed, Acting Director of EMK Center; Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, and Ahmed Shoyeb Iqbal, General Manager (Marketing and Sales) of Dhaka Tribune, signed the MoU.

ICCO Cooperation, IPDC Finance Limited and EMK Center will be the funding partners, ULAB will be the knowledge Partner and Dhaka Tribune will be the media partner.

The summit will address the prospects and challenges of microenterprise in Bangladesh in general and will host plenary sessions on the thematic areas of innovation, financing, inclusivity and dynamics of microenterprise in particular.
