MODHUMOTI BANK SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH BANGLADESH BANK -

Modhumoti Bank PLC and Bangladesh Bank signed a bilateral agreement recently to access a refinancing facility under the Tk 7.5 billion 'Financial Inclusion Credit Guarantee Scheme'. The scheme aims to provide low-interest, collateral-free loans to eligible marginal or landless farmers, low-income professionals, and micro-business owners who have '10/50/100 Taka accounts'. The signing ceremony took place at the Bangladesh Bank conference room in the presence of Md. Sawkatul Alam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank. The agreement was signed by Shahnawaj Chowdhury, Managing Director (current charge) of Modhumoti Bank, and Muhammad Nazmul Haque, Director of the Credit Guarantee Department (CGD) at Bangladesh Bank.
