National VAT Day ads launched to raise awareness

On the occasion of National VAT Day 2024, a series of public awareness advertisements have been launched to emphasise the importance of value-added tax (VAT).

The advertisements, created by advertising agency Outbox Limited, is centred around the theme "Apnake Manay Na", says a statement.

The theme "Apnake Manay Na" is designed to raise awareness and provoke a realisation among the people about VAT.

The five advertisements feature a variety of people from different sectors of society -- from businesspeople to common citizens -- ensuring broad representation.

The models featured in these ads are some of the country's most popular faces, including Kazi Utpal, Rozy Siddiquee, Mukit Zakaria, Rashed Mamun Apu, Suman Patwary, and Irfan Sajjad.

Directed by Ishtiaq Mahmud, these advertisements have been produced with the overall support of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), and are being aired on popular television channels across the country.
