New BMFA committee

M. N. Fishing Ltd Managing Director Nurul Qayyum Khan has been elected President of Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association (BMFA) for a three-year term ending in 2021.

In the election held in Chattogram recently, Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury was elected Secretary General of the country's noted marine fishing business group.

Nurul Qayyum Khan is also the President of Bangladesh Inland Container Depot Association (BICDA) and Co-chairman of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI)'s standing committee on the Ministry of Shipping.

A CIP, Nurul Qayyum Khan previously served Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as vice-president and directors at Chittagong Stock Exchange and Sonali Bank Ltd. The other newly-elected executives are: Vice Admiral (Retd.) Zahir Uddin Ahmed (first vice-president), Ahsan Iqbal Chowdhury (second vice-president) and Md Nazrul Islam (Treasurer).

There are 10 more directors in the new BMFA committee.
