The 12th Executive Committee of the GTCL Officers' Welfare Association officially assumed office in a grand ceremony held at the company's head office auditorium on Sunday, says a statement.
Newly elected president Mohammad Shamsur Rahman and general secretary Md Moinul Islam along with other executive members were sworn in during the event.
Election Commissioner Eng. Md. Abdul Azim conducted the swearing-in ceremony.
Chairman of the GTCL Board of Directors AHM Nurul Islam and Managing Director of GTCL Eng. Md. Anowarul Islam along with senior officials and employees attended the event.
The election to the GTCL Officers' Welfare Association was held on February 26.
Other elected office-bearers of the Executive Committee are Sheikh Nasim Hossain -- Vice President (1); Md. Yasin Ali -- Vice President (2); Mallik Shakir-R-Rahi -- Joint Secretary; Mohammad Zakirul Islam -- Organisational Secretary; Jameul Islam -- Finance Secretary; Md. Yasin Mirdha -- Office Secretary; Md Shafiqul Islam (Tushar) -- Publicity and Publication Secretary; Md Ashraful Alam -- Sports and Cultural Secretary; and Md Imtiaz Ahmed, Md Nazmul Islam, Asaduzzaman, and Md Yusuf Farhad -- committee members.
