New JBCCI office-bearers

Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun) has been elected as president of Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) while Maria Howlader FCA as secretary general and Kenji Kimura as treasurer for the year 2024-2026.

Mr. Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan is the Managing Director of NewVision Solutions Limited, a research, consultancy and engineering company that has worked with more than 115 Japanese companies. He was the Secretary General of JBCCI for three consecutive terms (2016-2022), says a press release.

He is also serving as Infrastructure Adviser to the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, Vice-President of a Japan-based think tank, Pan Asian Research Institute, and Managing Director of InnoTech Ltd Japan, an IT company.

Ms. Maria Howlader FCA has also been re-elected as a board member for 2024-2026. Currently, she serves as Vice-President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and is the Managing Partner and Founder of Howlader Maria & Co. (HmAC) Chartered Accountants, a member firm of KRESTON Global. In addition, Maria Howlader holds positions as an Independent Director in various companies.

On the other hand, Mr. Kenji Kimura is the Chief Representative of MUFG Bank Dhaka office, which is the largest bank in Japan. He has 25 years of experience in commercial banking sector and has been supporting a lot of Japanese companies in Vietnam, India and Bangladesh for 10 years.
