New MD of Prime Bank

The Board of Directors of Prime Bank Limited appointed Rahel Ahmed as Bank's new Managing Director & CEO with effect from December 14, 2017.

Mr. Ahmed is a career banker and worked as DMD and Chief Business Officer of the bank since joining in early 2015.

He is an international banker of diversified wholesale banking background having worked within various leadership roles with the two largest multinational Banks in Bangladesh, ANZ Grindlays Bank and Standard Chartered Bank for more than a decade.

He has subsequently resided and worked in Dubai, UAE for around 7 years to work for two of the largest regional Banks, Emirates NBD Banking Group and First Gulf Bank in different senior roles including specialization in Islamic Banking. He has played a leading role over the last almost 3 years in leading the 'Business Model Restructuring and Centralization' for Prime Bank, said a statement.

Mr. Ahmed has an MBA (Major in International Business) from the Maastricht School of Business, Netherlands.
