Mahmood Osman Imam retires from MBL

Mercantile Bank Limited accorded farewell to Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam, Chairman, Audit Committee & Independent Director, upon completion of his tenure with the bank on Tuesday at Bank's Head Office. A.K.M. Shaheed Reza, Chairman and Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, MD & CEO of the bank handed over flower bouquet on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Management respectively. Md. Abdul Hannan & A. S. M. Feroz Alam, Vice Chairmen; Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun), Chairman, Executive Committee; Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Chairman, Risk Management Committee; M. Amanullah, Chairman, Mercantile Bank Foundation; Shahidul Ahsan, Md. Anwarul Haque, Morshed Alam, M.P. and Alhaj Mosharref Hossain, Directors were present on the occasion. BSRM inks deal with Uttaran

BSRM and its NGO partner Uttaran have agreed to set up a submersible pipeline water supply project in Khanpur, Tala, Shatkhira. The capacity of the water reservoir will be 50,000 litre, 500 HHs and 3,700 family members will be benefitted. The project is expected to be completed by December 2019. Shahidul Islam of Uttaran, Kazi Anwar Ahmed and Ruhi M. Ahmed of BSRM group signed the JV agreement in Dhaka recently. BSRM CSR desk has already taken a number of small initiatives for supplying fresh drinking water in Sylhet, Barisal, Mongla, Fulchar, Gaibandah and Kurigram. It saved time for children to study, women to engage in income generating work, reduced suffering from water generated diseases and lowered medical expenses.
