City Bank gets new chairman, vice chairman

The board of directors of City Bank Limited elected Aziz Al Kaiser as the Chairman and Hossain Khaled as the Vice Chairman of the bank on Wednesday. Mr Kaiser is a sponsor director of the bank and was its Vice Chairman for five years and, later in 2007, he was elected as the Chairman of the bank and served till 2011. As the Chairman, he led the bank's transformation from a traditional institution to a technology and growth-driven one. He played a key role in introducing American Express cards in Bangladesh market and opening brokerage and merchant bank subsidiaries of the bank.

Hossain Khaled

Mr. Khaled is also a sponsor director of City Bank. He is an executive committee member of the bank's board and convener of its Risk Management Committee. Mr. Khaled is a versatile new-age business personality who is the Managing Director of Anwar Group and is successfully leading diversified business portfolios including financial services, technology, manufacturing, automobile, real estate etc. He is the immediate past President and currently Director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and former President of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Bangladesh. — Statement
