BGIC MD re-appointed

The service of Mr. Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Bangladesh General Insurance Company Ltd. (BGIC), has been renewed for further period of 3 (three) years (2019-22) for the 3rd consecutive term. He joined BGIC, Head Office at Dhaka in 1986 and was posted to Chattogram office as In-Charge. Later he was promoted as Additional Managing Director (Operation) including the responsibilities of Company Secretary. Finally he became Managing Director & CEO of BGIC on 1st August 2013.— Statement

BRAC Bank Limited is poised to deploy its real-time online Branch Network and Agent Banking channels to collect insurance premium from the clients of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of Bangladesh Limited. The customers can now deposit insurance premium at their doorsteps at convenient time and also get life insurance tips and benefits at the bank's Agent Banking outlets and branches. This is for the first a life insurance company is availing such service through the Bank's Agent Banking platform. — Statement
