Mutual funds dominate gainers' chart

Listed mutual funds Monday dominated the gainers chart on the day of losing prices by majority number of securities. Out of top 10 gainers, eight were from the sector of mutual funds, following investors' increased participation. SEML Lecture Equity Management Fund was the number one gainer as the fund featured the highest gain of 9.46 per cent or Tk 0.7 to close at Tk 8.10 per unit. The other mutual funds which were in the chart of 10 top gainers are: SEML IBBL Shariah Fund, EBL NRB Mutual Fund, Reliance One, CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund, CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund 01, Prime Islami Life Insurance and Trust Bank 1st Mutual. The prices of the units of these funds rose ranging from 1.58 per cent to 8.0 per cent on the day. - FE Report
