Delta Life Ins approves 26pc cash dividend

The 33rd annual general meeting (AGM) of Delta Life Insurance Company Limited approved 26 per cent cash dividend for the year 2018. Chairman of the board of directors Lt. Gen. M. Noor Uddin Khan (Retd.) presided over the meeting held on Wednesday. The shareholders of the company also approved the annual accounts and balance sheet, says a statement. Welcoming the shareholders, the chairman gave a brief overview on the performance and achievement of the company during the year 2018. "Our strategy is to provide quality insurance service to the people of Bangladesh, and the best investment returns to our policyholders and shareholders too," he said. Among others, directors of the company Zeyad Rahman, Kazi Fazlur Rahman, Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, Salahuddin Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer Adeeba Rahman and other senior executives and shareholders attended the AGM.— Statement

FAPAA meet begins in city tomorrow

The 46th executive council meeting (ECM) and the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Federation of Asia Pacific Air Cargo Associations (FAPAA) will be held on July 26 and 27 at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in Dhaka. The Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association (BAFFA) is hosting the two-day annual event. Representatives from 11 counties of the Asia Pacific region will take part in the event. Mahbubul Anam, President of BAFFA, will inaugurate the programme. — Statement
