Premier Bank gets new AMD

Mr. Golam Awlia joined The Premier Bank Limited as Additional Managing Director (AMD) recently. Prior to his joining, he was the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL). Mr. Awlia started his banking career with UCBL as Probationary Officer in 1983. Mr. Awlia has completed his Honors and Master in Finance from University of Dhaka and attended various training, seminars & workshop including leadership both home and abroad. — Statement

Pragati Life inks deal with BRAC, Concern worldwide

Pragati Life Insurance Limited signed a tripartite agreement with BRAC & Concern worldwide to introduce a micro life & health insurance pilot scheme for the urban poor households. The agreement was handed over by M. J. Azim, Managing Director of the Pragati Life Insurance Limited, Dr. Mahfuza Rifat PhD, Programme Head of Health, Nutrition and Population of BRAC and Hasina Rahman Assistant Country Director- System of Concern worldwide.— Statement
