EBL programme

on prevention of money laundering

Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) organised a day-long training programme on "Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism" at a hotel in Cox's Bazar for all banks of the district recently. Fifty eight Branch Managers and Branch Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers (BAMLCO) participated in the training programme. Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, General Manager and Operational Head, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) inaugurated the training program as Chief Guest. Md. Sawkatul Alam and Habibur Rahman Talukder, Deputy General Managers, Mohammad Abdur Rab , Joint Director from BFIU, Chowdhury MAQ Sarwar, Deputy Managing Director and CAMLCO of EBL conducted the training sessions. Md. Shahjahan Ali, Head of Compliance and Deputy CAMLCO and Md. Abdul Awal, Head of Monitoring, and Shourindra Nath Paul, Manager, Cox's Bazar Branch from EBL also attended the programme.
