Niranjan Debnath new ICB Managing Director

Niranjan Chandra Debnath joined the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) as its Managing Director recently, says a statement.

Previously, Mr Debnath had served as the Managing Director of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), as Deputy Managing Director & Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance officer (CAMLCO) of Sonali Bank PLC and as Deputy Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BASIC Bank Ltd.

Mr Debnath started off his banking career as an Assistant Manager at BASIC Bank in 1997.

He completed his post-graduation in accounting from Chittagong University. He also obtained CMA degree from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh and CGMA and CMA degrees from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.

He is a fellow (FCMA) of ICMAB.
