Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited has approved 20 per cent cash dividend for the year 2017 at the 45th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company at a city hotel recently, according to a statement.
Shah Md. Aminul Haq, Chairman, Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited, presided over the meeting.
Dr. Riad Mamun Prodhani, Managing Director, Sazzad Rahim Chowdhury, Finance Director & Company Secretary, Sheikh Nahar Mahmud, immediate past Managing Director of Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited and Lutfor Rahman, Director, Finance, Haiul Quaaium, Director, Commercial of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) attended the AGM along with other high officials of both the organisations.
The shareholders unanimously approved the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2017, directors' report and the auditor's report.
The board of directors appreciated the performance of the employees whose persistent efforts helped the company maintain its quality leadership in Bangladesh.
The directors also expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the support and cooperation received from its stakeholders including Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), National Board of Revenue and other agencies of the public and private sector.
