Parveen receives SAFA Lifetime Woman Leadership Award

Parveen Mahmud FCA received the Lifetime Woman Leadership Award 2025 at the SAFA Women Leadership Award Ceremony held in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, says a press statement.
She is the Chairperson of Manusher Jonnyo Foundation (MJF), MIDAS, HerStory Foundation and Shasha Denims PLC. She had also served as the Chairperson of UCEP-Bangladesh and Acid Survivor's Foundation.
Ms. Parveen is the first woman President to lead the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and first female board member and the first female President to serve SAFA Board among professional bodies of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), the apex accounting professional body of SAARC.
Parveen Mahmud started off her career with BRAC, and thereafter, served PKSF as Deputy Managing Director and was the Founding Managing Director of Grameen Telecom Trust.
She was Partner, ACNABIN, chartered accountants. She has served on numerous boards, including BRAC International, PKSF, TIB , Grameen Telecom and pioneered inclusive growth, women's empowerment, and social innovation across South Asia.
She is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow of the Lions International.
Ms. Parveen won several national awards for her outstanding leadership and social contributions. Beyond border, she received the Top50 Professional & Career Women Awards 2023 - Sri Lanka and Maldives.
