PDBL chairman, treasurer re-elected

Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB), has been re-elected as Chairman of Primary Dealers Bangladesh Limited (PDBL) and Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Jamuna Bank PLC, as its Treasurer at the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of PDBL.

Md. Mazibur Rahman, Managing Director of Janata Bank PLC, has been elected as the new Vice Chairman.

A nine-member Technical Committee was also formed, with Asim Kumar Saha, Deputy Managing Director of Mercantile Bank PLC, as its convener.

The AGM was held in Dhaka recently, with Syed Mahbubur Rahman in the chair.

Managing Directors & CEOs or their representatives from all 20 member banks, along with treasury heads and senior officials, attended the event, says a statement.
