Peoples Ins gets new director

Mohammed Mizan Victor Mohsin was appointed as a new director of Peoples Insurance Company Limited at the 442nd meeting of the board of directors on Wednesday.

Mr. Mohsin is the son of Mohammed Mohsin, vice-chairman of the PHP family, according to a press release.

He completed his graduation in psychology and marketing from Goldsmiths University of London.

Currently, he is involved in the functions of PHP Float Glass Industries Limited, PHP Aluminum and PHP Integrated Steel Mills Limited. He is also the managing partner of Oxygen Sports Zone.

Meanwhile, Sobhit Bikash Barua, independent director and chairman of the audit committee of the company, retired on the same day following completion of his six-year tenure.

Mr. Barua has elevated the company to a strong position by managing the financial statements and accounting departments of the company with efficiency and transparency, the press release added.
