Plastic makers to get land at Chemical Palli

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has said the government will allocate separate land for the plastic sector at Chemical Palli in Munshiganj district, reports BSS.

"The government is setting up Chemical Palli in Munshiganj district. The government will give the opportunity to the plastic makers to relocate their industries form Old Dhaka area. At the same time, the government will give all sorts of policy supports to the industries," he informed.

The minister said this while meeting with members of the newly-elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.

Humayun said the government is working to relocate the plastic factories from the old part of the capital to a safe place. "So, the government is implementing the plastic city project under the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.
