Rabiul Islam joins SBAC Bank as AMD

Md. Rabiul Islam, a banker with 36 years of experience, has joined SBAC Bank as additional managing director (AMD), according to a press release.

Prior to the joining, he worked at NRBC Bank as the deputy managing director (DMD) and served as acting managing director, according to the statement.

He had also worked at Islami Bank, Prime Bank, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Mercantile Bank and NCC Bank.

He started his banking career in 1989 as a probationary officer at Islami Bank Bangladesh. Later, he joined Prime Bank and Al-Arafah Islami Bank.

In 1999, he joined Mercantile Bank. There, he received promotions and served as branch manager at Mohakhali, Gulshan, and main branches. He also worked as deputy head of the credit risk management department and head of the SME financing division at the bank's head office.
