Regional level skills competition held

The regional level skills competition 2018, a national event for the diploma-level students of technical education of the country, was held at 13 region across the country on Saturday, said a statement.

A total of 451 projects/ innovations selected at the Institute level competition held at 167 institutes across the country on November 3, 2018 were displayed for evaluation.

A high powered evaluation committee evaluated and selected projects for next level i.e. Final Round.

A total of 52 projects/innovations selected from the regional level competition will be put on display at Final Round to be held in Dhaka in April 2019 for evaluation.

Skills and Training Enhancement Project (STEP), a project of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Technical and Madrasah Education Division under the Ministry of Education, organized the event.

STEP is a joint project of World Bank, Bangladesh government and Canada.

STEP has been organising skills competition since 2014 with a view to promoting innovative ideas of the students.
