Renaissance Dhaka hosts shayari evening

Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel hosted a soulful chapter of its signature global series, Evenings at Renaissance, through a special cultural edition titled Shayari Evening - a celebration where poetry, music, and emotion met in perfect harmony, says a press release.

Rooted in the Renaissance tradition of honouring local culture, heritage, and artistic expression, this evening was designed as a gentle pause from the rush of life-a moment to listen, feel, and reflect. As the lights softened at the GBC Lobby Café, words began to flow, carrying stories of love, longing, hope, and humanity.

The evening was led by Ehsan Samad, a gifted reciter, poet, and speaker, whose voice brought timeless verses to life. His performance wove together his own writings with celebrated Shayari by legends such as Mirza Ghalib, Sahir Ludhianvi, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Gulzar, and Imran Aami. Each recitation felt intimate, as if spoken directly to the heart.
