SHIMANTO BANK DISTRIBUTES WATER TANKS IN SATKHIRA

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Shimanto Bank has recently distributed water tanks among the residents of Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira, who are affected by climate change, to help conserve drinking water. Necessary infrastructure has also been constructed to store and conserve rainwater in the tanks. Nowabenki Gonomukhi Foundation (NGF), a non-government development organisation, has provided overall support to this initiative, aimed at mitigating the water crisis resulting from the climate change. Md Monowar Hossain, Manager, Shyamnagar Sub-Branch, Shimanto Bank; Md Alamgir Kabir, Director (Microfinance), NGF; S.M Mahabub Alam, Head of Monitoring, Evaluation & Documentation, NGF; and other officials were present at the distribution programme.
