SOUTHEAST BANK TO RAISE AUTHORISED CAPITAL

Southeast Bank PLC held its 9th Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on a digital platform on Thursday, where shareholders approved an increase in the bank's authorised capital to Tk 20 billion from Tk 15 billion. They also approved a 3% cash dividend and a 7% stock dividend. M. A. Kashem, Chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting. The bank's Vice Chairperson Rehana Rahman joined the meeting virtually. Directors Jusna Ara Kashem, Duluma Ahmed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Khandker Badrul Hassan (Chairman of Risk Management Committee), Nur Nahar Tarin, and Md. Rafiqul Islam (nominee of Asia Insurance PLC), Independent Directors M. Moyeen Alam Firozee (Chairman of Audit Committee) and Nurjahan Begum were also present. Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director & CEO, and Mamunur Rashid, Company Secretary, also participated in the meeting.
