Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh has recently won the prestigious 'Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Bangladesh' award from International Finance Magazine (IFM), in an award giving ceremony held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, said a statement.

Mr. Alamgir Morshed, Managing Director and Head of Financial Markets, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, accepted the award on behalf of the bank.

Commenting on the win, Abrar A. Anwar, CEO of Standard Chartered Bangladesh said, "We are delighted to have received this award, which recognizes the pioneering role the Bank has played in introducing innovative Foreign Exchange solutions to the Bangladesh market. IFM, a London-based international financial publication, hosted the ceremony with Dato' Ilaong Karuappnnan, High Commissioner of Malaysia, being the guest of honour for the event. In receiving the award, the Bank was recognized for its performance across categories that included customer relationship, currency rates offered, foreign exchange solutions offered, compliance, risk management, profitability and innovation.
