TOP 10 SUSTAINABLE BANKS HONOURED

Bangladesh Bank has announced the names of the top 10 sustainable banks based on its Sustainability Rating 2024. The rating is prepared by Bangladesh Bank using two broad criteria: (1) Financial Sustainability -- measured through core banking performance indicators such as capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, profitability, cost efficiency, customer accessibility, and standards of corporate governance; and (2) Environmental Sustainability -- assessed based on each bank's performance in sustainable finance, green finance, CSR initiatives, and related areas. The selected banks were honoured at the Sustainability Rating Recognition Ceremony held at the central bank on Wednesday. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur, Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar and other officials were present at the event.
