The premier bourse registered a turnover of above Tk 5.07 billion.
Of the companies, Beximco topped the turnover chart with a value of Tk 418 million. The company grabbed 8.2 per cent of the market turnover.
More than 13.39 million shares of Beximco changed hands through 5,315 trades. The company's share trading closed at Tk 30.70 with a loss of 0.32 per cent per share.
Al-Arafa Islami Bank featured a turnover of Tk 272 million and captured 5.4 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price rose 2.48 per cent to close at Tk 24.80 per share.
Delta Life Insurance Company captured 3.8 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a value of Tk 191 million. The company's share price rose 0.94 per cent to close at Tk 120 each.
The turnover of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh was Tk 162 million, which was 3.2 per cent of the turnover featured by the DSE. The company's share trading closed at Tk 65.90 with a rise of 0.77 per cent per share.
Pharma Aids featured a turnover of Tk 140 million and grabbed 2.8 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 494.60 with a loss of 0.93 per cent per share.
Popular Life Insurance Company captured 2.8 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a turnover of Tk 140 million. The company's share price declined 3.32 per cent to close at Tk 127.10.
Dragon Sweater and Spinning posted a turnover of Tk 123 million and grabbed 2.4 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 21.40 with a loss of 2.29 per cent per share.
Of the other companies, Alif Industries featured a turnover of Tk 119 million, followed by United Power Generation and Distribution Company Tk 97 million and Brac Bank Tk 85 million.
