Trust Bank, UnionPay enter deal

Recently an agreement was signed between Trust Bank PLC. and Union Pay International at Shanghai, China, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two organizations.

Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank PLC, and Larry Wang, CEO of Union Pay International, were present at the signing ceremony along with other senior officials from both institutions, says a press release.

Md. Mostafa Musharrof, Senior Vice President & Head of Card Division of Trust Bank PLC, and Cai Huiming, General Manager for Southeast Asia of UnionPay International, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate on the issuance and acceptance of UnionPay debit and credit cards in Bangladesh. This strategic partnership is expected to significantly benefit local customers, especially business professionals, medical travelers, and tourists traveling to and from China, by offering them convenient and secure payment solutions.
