US Embassy team meets DSE MD

A delegation of the US Embassy visited Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

During the visit, the delegation members -- commercial officer Eduardo Garcia and commercial specialist Mahati Sirat -- held a meeting with DSE Managing Director KAM Majedur Rahman.

Company secretary of the premier bourse Mohammas Asadur Rahman was also present at the meeting.

At the meeting, the delegation of the US Embassy was apprised of various achievements related to the premier bourse.

The DSE also expressed optimism that the process of selecting the strategic partner of the premier bourse would be completed soon.

"The representatives of the US Embassy also expressed optimism that all concerned will work neutrally in selecting the strategic partner," the DSE said in a statement.

At the meeting, the DSE managing director also focused on the plans of introducing new products in the capital market.

The representatives of US Embassy lauded the role of the capital market in the development of the country's economy.
